Evelyn’s journey from Lima, Peru, to the Bay Area has been marked by a deep commitment to social justice and community advocacy. With a B.A. in Latino/a Studies from San Francisco State University, she has spent her career championing the rights of marginalized communities through grassroots organizing, political campaigns, and public policy work.
Her impressive career includes leadership roles with Artos Consulting, Mission Neighborhood Centers, Civic Edge Consulting, and as Campaign Manager for Congresswoman Barbara Lee. Evelyn’s efforts have led to increased voter engagement, successful fundraising initiatives, and strengthened community relationships.
Evelyn’s dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors. She has been a founding member of the New Leaders Council Oakland, serving as Mentorship Chair and Recruitment Chair, and has played pivotal roles in organizations such as the Latino Young Democrats of the East Bay and the Chicano/Latino Caucus. Her leadership and vision have consistently driven positive change.
