Oakland Rising is hosting our last house party of 2013 and you’re invited! On Saturday, October 12th from 4-8pm we will be hosting Bourbon, Beer and Brats. At this a one-of-a-kind house party we intend to raise $1,500 to support Oakland Rising’s fall campaign – outreaching to low-income, immigrant and communities of color about how folks can get healthcare through the Affordable Care Act.
This isn’t our typical house party. We won’t have a pitch or long speeches. We want to have a social “happy-hour-esqe” afternoon with you in a Maxwell Park garden to taste different Bourbons, sip cold Beer, and snack on Bratwurst and other delicious sausages.
This carnival style event will include bourbon flights and cocktails, plus a good assortment of beers and a bunch of sausages on the grill. Bring cash to purchase $5 tickets which can be used to purchase whatever you want.
Want to really BE ABOUT IT and support Bourbon, Beer and Brats?
Sign up to be a “Buddy, Bestie or Booster” and get two $5 drink/food tickets for every $50 raised.
“Buddies” commit to raising or giving $50,
“Besties” commit to raising or giving $100, and
“Boosters” commit to raising or giving $250 and up.
Please RSVP here today or email Jessamyn Sabbag for more information on the “perks” of being about it!
Hope to see you!
